Sue has also maintained a career in performance - as an actor,
director and musician. In 2007, Sue founded a performing arts venue in
the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn called The Bushwick Starr. The theater
is run by Sue and her partner, Noel Allain, and together they have presented
some of the most exciting emerging and established artists in the current NY
arts scene.
Having shot and published nearly every show that has come
through the BWS, Sue has gained notice as a new voice in performance and
event photography. She now works for various theater and dance
companies, as well as many musicians, as their go-to photographer. Sue
is also active in event photography - shooting anything from an underground
party to a high society affair. Her work can be seen in publications
such as: The New York Times, Art Forum, New York Magazine, Time Out NY and
